Jupiter, Mercury, Venus and the Moon are benefic planets. Jupiter, out of them, is extremely benefic. Virtuous souls descend on the earth during the ascendancy of Jupiter. One having the ascendant Jupiter in his horoscope has spirituality, honesty, goodness, good character, etc. besides knowledge and other excellent virtues. Therefore, conception should be so planned that the child may take birth during the ascendancy of the first-rate planets. Currently the period between 3rd August 2018 and 25th January 2019 is the most suitable for conception. This apart, the time from 27th December 2019 to 15thFebruary 2020 is extremely propitious for conception.
Great souls are eager to descend on the earth, but that requires a couple practicing restraint. Hence, those couples who want to have an excellent progeny must observe continence for at least 2-3 months before conception, besides doing maximum Japa of the Guru mantra. If possible, the husband and wife should perform 2-3 Anushthanas of 40 days and 21 days respectively, and together pray to their SatGuru or presiding deity for an excellent progeny before copulation.
Improper time for conception
Copulation is strictly prohibited during the night of a Full moon day, No moon day, First, Eighth, Eleventh and Fourteenth day of a lunar month, Solar Eclipse, Lunar Eclipse, Festivals or Parvas like (Janmashtami, Shri Rama Navami, Holi, Dipavali, Shivaratri, Navaratri, etc.); periods of Shraaddha, Pradosha Kala (1. During Sunset 2. Two and half hours from Sunset), Kshaya Tithi i.e. a tithi or a day not reckoned in a lunar month (refer to the diary published by ashram), First five days of the menstrual period, Death anniversary of either parent, Birthday of either of the couple, or during the Sandhya times (Three times of day: 15 minutes before and after Sunrise, 15 minutes before and after midday, 15 minutes before and after Sunset) and daytime. The progeny conceived in daytime is of bad conduct and wicked.
Scriptural restrictions should not be breached; otherwise the couple will have a demoniac, morally debased or disabled progeny. Even if they do not have a progeny, the couple contracts one or another serious disease.
Special precautions before conception
The couple should take special care to get their body and house charged with positive energy besides maintaining complete piety. Menstruating women should not cook food. Conception should take place in the bedroom of one’s own residence alone, not in hotels or other impious places.
Note: If conception has taken place during a period other than the most propitious ones prescribed, do not go for an abortion; rather, keep inculcating excellent moral values in the fetus with due care and adoration. Foeticide is a great sin.
