An Easy means to Success

Chant Omkar 12 times before starting any work. It is the life-breath of all mantras, accomplishments and successes; and is also the giver of all powers. It is the elan vital, basis and substratum of all, which is why it is called as Pranav as well.
It is said in Maharishi Patanjali’s “Yoga Darshana”:
‘His manifesting word is Pranav (Om). The repetition of this (Om) and meditating on its meaning (is the way).’
(The Samadhipada, Sutra: 27-28)
It has been highly praised in the Upanishads. The chanting of Omkar is done when any auspicious act is performed such as funeral rites, sacraments during the birth of a child, initiation, meditation etc.
Omkar is the Primary Essential (imperishable) Sound. It’s consciousness pervades the entire creation. Its components are ‘A’kara, ‘U’kara, ‘M’kara, and Ardha Matra (crescent with a dot).
If you meditate after doing a little Japa of Om upon getting up in the morning, your journey to God will be shortened. Do a little Japa of Om and meditate thereon before going to bed at night. Also keep doing Japa of Om at times during your daily chores, and you will get worldly success and occult powers too.
Chanting of Pranav (OM) helps tremendously in Self-realization. Kabirji said,
“One befriends many after coming into this world. Those, who set their heart on the One (Supreme Self), sleep free from worries.”
Oh celebrators of the worldly Diwali, you have come into this world and made many friends, but you will not gain the supreme insouciance until you meet the Supreme Friend.
Upon finding an influential friend –an industrialist or a minister –you feel that in case of any problem you will seek his help. But once you meet your inner Friend, you won’t have to depend on or seek mercy of different friends, industrialists, ministers, or officers anymore; because that Supreme Self is the supreme officer, the supreme industrialist. These industrialists cannot salvage you at the time of death; but once you develop friendship with the omniscient Supreme Self and if you manage to contemplate on Him even at the time of death, you’ll attain the abode which is completely immune from rebirth, death, old age and diseases.
