A Priceless Technique to get rid of Worry and Attachment

When you want to offer food to God (Lord Vishnu) you have to put Tulsi leaves on it. Then it does not belong to you but to God. If you consider Tulsi as mother, do one thing. When you get up in the morning pluck 15-25 leaves of Tulsi. Place one leaf on your house and think: ‘This house is offered to God. It is God’s, not mine.’ Put a leaf on your daughter’s head: ‘This daughter is Yours, not mine, O God. Her engagement, wedding, and time of the same depend upon your Will. I have become free from worry.’ If you are worried about your son, put a leaf on his head too. ‘O God, this is Your son, not mine.’

God does not take care when we consider that something is our own. Once the thing is offered to God, He takes care. Put a Tulsi leaf on the thing you love the most as a possession. ‘This ornament is not mine. It is God’s. The body also belongs to God.’ Wear the ornament with such thought. Then put a Tulsi leaf on your safe. ‘This is not my safe. It is God’s.’ If you say, ‘My… My…’ and develop attachment to it you will have to come back to the house after death taking any form of life, like a lizard, mosquito, mouse or any other species. Therefore offer it to God and make use of it for yourself and for your family and appropriate good deeds, but do not be attached to it. Saying ‘My… My…’ many left the world, none could carry a blade of grass with him. All these things actually belong to God. It is due to the dishonesty of our mind that we consider them to be ours.
